Presentation Times (12min + 3min Q&A)
All standard oral presentations are 15 minutes in length. This includes 12 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes Q&A. To ensure the concurrent sessions all run to time consecutively, the session chairs will be following a strict timing process. At the end of some sessions, further discussion time has been allocated in the program.
Standard PowerPoint facilities will be provided at the Conference venue.
Please note if using PowerPoint slides, your slides must be set up using a 16:9 aspect ratio (widescreen). All video files need to be embedded into the slides.
Speakers’ Preparation Room
A speakers’ preparation room will be available for the duration of the conference. This room will be provided for all presenters and offers the opportunity to review presentations with the audiovisual aid requested. This area will be staffed by a technician.
The speaker’s preparation room is located in the Lobby Room, directly outside the main plenary rooms. All speakers are required to visit the speakers’ preparation room and provide the technician with their PowerPoint slides on a USB at least two hours prior to the commencement of their presentation. This will ensure that the technician has met with all presenters and that they are fully aware of presentation needs. We also ask that speakers arrive at the room in which they are presenting 10 minutes prior to the commencement of the session. It is our objective that presentations operate as smoothly as possible.
If you decide to use your own laptop we ask that you please report to the speakers preparation room at least 3 hours before your session time, to arrange technical assistance with cabling and testing your laptop. You must provide the DVI > VGA Adaptor for your laptops video output, and allow the audiovisual technicians time to perform a technical check of your laptop output to the projector.
